According to the latest data provided by Istat, in July 2026, the Italian labor market records an employment rate of 63.2%, an unemployment rate of 5.8%, female employment at 53.3%, and contractual wages increased by 11.5%. As ItaliaOggi points out, these are the best data in the last twenty years. Not only that. Compared to October 2022, when the current government took office, employment has risen by 3 percentage points, and the unemployment rate has recorded a -2%.

If we look back a year ago, that is July 2025, there are 303,000 more permanent employees and 85,000 more self-employed, while temporary workers decrease by 82,000 units. Contrary to what the left claims, precariousness has significantly decreased. This is thanks to the policies adopted by Meloni and the Minister of Labor, Marina Calderone, which have led to a change in mentality, partly overcoming the rigidities of the Dignity Decree.
