Francesco Lollobrigida has achieved a feat that seemed anything but simple: getting Massimo Gramellini and Andrea Scanzi to agree. Worrying. Especially when the origin of the scandal is a video in which the Minister of Agriculture talks about milk and farming with his own grandson. He does so using the tone and words one would use when speaking to a child. Nothing particularly subversive, then. Yet it only took a few minutes for the scene to be turned into yet another political case.
Gramellini wonders how it was possible to get to all this. One answer could be found by rewatching some of his own broadcasts. The difference is that Lollobrigida speaks with language for children; Gramellini, on the other hand, often uses the same tone with an adult audience. With a further difference: when the minister talks about the value of milk and the work of farmers, he states things that are hardly contestable; the truths delivered by the TV host instead appear much more selective and tendentious.

Andrea Scanzi, as often happens, prefers to move from argumentation to personal attack. He contests the tone of the video, mocks the minister, and goes as far as to portray him as a sort of lobbyist for farmers. Turning the praise of milk into proof of political guilt means having lost the sense of proportion. Probably completely absent in certain left-wing circles.
