I don’t remember Grillo on the front line when we were opposing Draghi”: the leader of the Five Star Movement Giuseppe Conte said this on Zona Bianca on Rete 4, regarding Beppe Grillo‘s statements about the identity of the M5s. The comedian, in fact, recently reproached the current leadership of the Movement for betraying the ideals of the past.
Conte then added: “I remember, it is a well-known fact, although I don’t want to dredge up things from the past, that Grillo disappointed a great intellectual, very refined and independent, like Domenico De Masi, to whom he said that Draghi had invited him to abandon Conte to support Di Maio’s split, and he did not oppose anything.” That confidence from the M5s co-founder, the Five Star leader added, “provoked De Masi’s indignation who, as he declared in a public interview, told him ‘how could you not tell him to go to hell?'”
