And they continue to consider border defense a fault, rather than a government responsibility. The result is the paradox of those who, just to not give Meloni credit, end up preferring the Ceuta model to a serious policy of protecting European borders.” In the photo showing Giorgia Meloni and Mette Frederiksen together, there is, therefore, the verdict: “The left attacks the Danish prime minister Frederiksen because on immigration she agrees with Meloni. For them, defending borders is a fault.”

Immediately avalanches of criticism against the opposition forces in the comments and discussion following the post. Some write: “The Italian left is the party of invasion and ethnic replacement!” Then, some add: “The left, to always and in any case defend their abstruse ideas from those who do not think like them, would even sell their soul to the devil…” Also, some state a principle: “Defending borders is an obligation for any government, always and only Italy.” There are also those who compliment the Danish prime minister: “A social democrat who thinks with her own head and not just ideology!!!” In her speech to the Copenhagen Parliament, Frederiksen reiterated the need for controlled migration: “A strict migration policy is fundamental for Denmark and for Europe. We continue to monitor the situation with extreme attention. Not even for a second will we hesitate to adopt the necessary measures. The important aspect in relation to Schengen is that, if problems arise in a country – whether it is crime or refugees – the most effective weapon we have in Denmark is border control. I am a firm supporter of border control.”
