More services in the neighborhoods to promote the inclusion and autonomy of migrants in Genoa. This is the goal of the Municipality led by Mayor Silvia Salis which renews and strengthens for the 2026-2028 biennium the co-planning “Orienta-Mondi. Actions for an inclusive and plural Genoa,” the city system of desks dedicated to reception, orientation, and bureaucratic and social support for citizens with a migration background.
The initiative foresees the opening of four new desks in the coming months: one in the Molo district in the Centro Est Municipality, one in Struppa in the Media Val Bisagno Municipality, one at the Vallesturla civic center on via Posalunga for the Levante and Medio Levante Municipalities, a “focal point” in San Teodoro, dedicated to school orientation and family support. The desks are added to the ten already active in the city.
“With ‘Orienta-Mondi’ we strengthen a widespread model that puts territories at the center,” comments the municipal Welfare Councillor, Cristina Lodi. “Practices on immigration and rights require correct and timely responses: investing both in the capillarity of the presences and in the specialized training of operators is the key to promoting real autonomy and participation of foreign citizens in the life of our community.”

Between September 2025 and June 2026 the network recorded 2,671 interventions in favor of people of 78 nationalities. The demand was mainly focused on residence permit procedures [43.6%] and citizenship [19.5%], accompanied by job orientation, school integration, legal protection, and access to housing.
