The clear demonstration of a concept that the Prime Minister also emphasized yesterday, regarding the recent vote in Saxony-Anhalt. In Italy, the center-right governs alone. In Berlin, for years there has been a Grosse Koalition between Catholics and Social Democrats that has done nothing but fuel the discontent and protest of a large segment of the population, not left-wing or simply disappointed by the faltering policies of Cdu and Spd. A center-right government that, in a critical international context, continues to keep the promises made during the election campaign, including on security and the fight against illegal immigration. These two factors were decisive in the electoral boom of Alternative für Deutschland.

The leader of Brothers of Italy also gave her interpretation of the 24-hour standoff over preferences: “Italians will be able to choose coalition, prime minister, program, and parliamentarian in the next elections. I am proud that the center-right did it.” It is “not credible that” the left “says it is not enough: preferences have been missing for over 30 years and no more than a month ago they were celebrating with champagne for having sunk the amendment that introduced them.”
