These are just some of the proposals contained in the second part of the political program of Futuro Nazionale, the party led by Roberto Vannacci. Proposals that spark debate not only among the political forces opposing them but also within the party itself. Once again, Luca Sforzini, president of the Centro Studi Rinascimento Nazionale, which has been the think tank of Futuro Nazionale since its inception, voices the internal discontent, summarizing the situation as follows: «There are times when the problem of a project is not its opponents. It is its advisors.» A phrase that implies that the think tank has been excluded from this program. «Every leader, Sforzini continues in his analysis – especially when they grow rapidly and aspiring strategists, improvised theologians, veterans of lost battles, and self-proclaimed guardians of orthodoxy begin to crowd around them, should remember an ancient rule: bad advisors are much more dangerous than good enemies. Enemies, at least, stand in front. Bad advisors sit next to you, whisper, suggest, explain that to be more recognizable you have to be more extreme, that to be consistent you have to narrow the field, that to build the future you have to go back.»

EXTREME IDEAS
Reflections that start precisely from the program of Futuro Nazionale, which, apart from some positions common to other center-right forces, such as the defense of the roots and Christian culture of our country, goes into details. Although it does not call for the repeal of law 194 on abortion, the program of Futuro Nazionale intervenes heavily on it: it advocates the presence of pro-life associations within counseling centers, prohibits the outpatient or home administration of the “morning-after pill.” The program also recognizes the conceived child «as a subject holder of legally protected interests» and proposes to consider the child already during pregnancy for the purposes of access to bonuses and benefits, from scholarships to public housing.
A choice that, from Vannacci’s perspective, should serve to encourage birth rates, but which currently risks backfiring, since at the moment only immigrants have children (as certified by all data on the subject), who would therefore be even more favored compared to Italians. In short, a contradiction. Just as other proposals raise doubts, such as the “Rebirth Income” for mothers or the “Tricolor Mortgage” that cancels interest on the third child. Not to mention the idea of giving “multiple votes” to fathers based on the number of children… «In these hours, proposals concerning family, abortion, conception, civil unions, euthanasia, homosexuality, religion are being read – Sforzini explains further – But when a political proposal claims to speak to the future, the first question is: towards which century are we heading?».
BREAKING OR DIALOGUE RIGHT
Also because the president of the Study Center explains: «A right-wing that wants to govern a great Western nation should have the ambition to persuade free men, not to educate them under guardianship. The point, therefore, is not to be “more right-wing.” It is to understand which right. There is a liberal, Risorgimento, national, Western right – analyzes Sforzini -, which considers individual freedom not a concession of the State, but the limit of the State. There is a right that defends the family without entering bedrooms, that can support birth rates without instituting moral police. And then there are the black crows. They are the ones who advise responding to the anxieties of the 21st century with the handbook of the 19th.» A clear analysis that poses a big question to Vannacci: build a political force capable of dialoguing with the center-right, or one that plays solo dangerously glancing at the past?
