But, above all, the announced confrontation with Mario Monti did not take place, effectively “tricked” by the General: the two speeches, 15 minutes each, were separate, contrary to what was planned the day before.

Vannacci then takes the floor and sets up his intervention starting from Europe, with a disturbing premise. “More than a ReArm Europe, a Reborn Europe would be needed.” And again: “I will try to talk about the future of Europe and the future of Italy and the countries that compose it. But in the meantime, we should take for granted that a future exists.”

The general points to demography as one of the main threats to the continent. “Because with a fertility rate of 1.41% in Europe, our future, that of the world we know, of all this matter, is probably short-lived. If we want a better future for the next generations, we must also think about generating the next generations.”

Then the attack on European politics and its alleged contradictions on the war in Ukraine. “The European strategy is inconsistent.” Vannacci adds: “Today Europe has fully sided with Ukraine. However, in the last six months, some countries have increased gas imports from Russia by as much as 160%, financing that war economy that we would instead like to fight by siding with Ukraine.”

The leader of Futuro Nazionale also looks at the political balances of the continent and sees possible scenario changes on the horizon. “Fortunately, Europe changes, the leaders more in the race are wobbling, Starmer who has already fallen, Farage who is ready to launch, Macron, Merz, Sanchez I believe they will not be eating the 2027 panettone if not that of 2026.” Then he cites recent cases in France and Eastern Europe: “In France Marine Le Pen has been victorious in any possible scenario. Hungary, Slovakia, and Bulgaria have the D’Annunzian attitude of ‘I don’t care’ in front of Brussels.” The conclusion is a declaration of intent: “We are working to build an architecture that returns to building a platform of collaboration and not an imposing chair.”

Monti, for his part, responding but not in a face-to-face, harshly criticizes the program of Futuro Nazionale and the role assigned to Professor Lorenzo Gasperini. The program is called Bip, ‘Ideological and programmatic base of Futuro Nazionale’, and was developed by Professor Lorenzo Gasperini a few months ago.” From here the reference to a post published by Gasperini during the pandemic: “On November 27, 2021, in the midst of Covid, Professor Gasperini had published a post that said literally: ‘A healthy young person who gets vaccinated shows weakness, fear of death, gullibility, intellectual infirmity, easy obedience to the first politician who passes by and a psychology of a servant. All characteristics that should entail, at least, exclusion from sexual life, as a natural counterbalance,’ he emphasizes.

Monti continues sharply: “So, two curiosities arise for me, as is natural in me, captiously. One curiosity is technical and the other is political. The technical one concerns the implementation of this sanction. That is, it is to be imagined, of course, ‘immediate purge’, which would be a structural solution, or the electronic bracelet, probably applied not to the wrist or ankle, but to another part of the male body,” he says.
