It’s official: Futuro Nazionale, Roberto Vannacci’s party, further strengthens its position in the Chamber of Deputies with the entry of four more deputies. Domenico Furgiuele from Calabria and Gianangelo Bof from Veneto are moving from the Lega. Davide Bergamini (who previously moved from the Lega to Forza Italia) and Attilio Pierro are joining from Forza Italia. Furthermore, former MEP Enrico Maria Rinaldi, now an economics professor, is joining the party as a militant. The announcement was made by Vannacci himself during a press conference at the Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio. With these new arrivals, after Laura Ravetto, Emanuele Pozzolo, Rossano Sasso, and Edoardo Ziello, Futuro Nazionale’s group in the Chamber rises to 8 deputies.

“We have 94,000 members, the party has started, no one can stop us now,” Vannacci exclaimed. “Journalists all continue to talk about us. Then there are also politicians who talk about us. We even made the front page of L’Espresso with ‘Vannacci will be your nightmare.’ Very good, so we continue on this path.” The retired general then reiterated his battle on electoral law: “Futuro Nazionale is fighting to restore dignity to citizens and to include preferences.” According to Vannacci, the current system is one of the reasons why people don’t vote: “Who said that the person nominated by party secretariats represents me in Parliament? Restore dignity to Parliament, which has dignity if it is an expression of the people and not of party secretariats.”
