That the Monza GP did not go as many Italian fans had dreamed is quite evident: the contact between Leclerc and Hamilton earlier – caused by an error from the Monegasque – and Charles’ crash into the barriers afterwards, left a strong bitter taste for all the fans of the Prancing Horse. The bad news, however, might not be over yet.
After the race, Lewis Hamilton used particularly harsh words both towards his teammate and his own team. Statements that could shake the internal balance of the team. “The incident with Charles? I don’t race dirty, I’m fair and I have always left space” – Hamilton said – “Charles said we went too far? There is no ‘we’, he pushed me out“.

Addressing the team, the Briton intensified his remarks: “I tried to be respectful and not put the team in danger. It’s all in the rules of engagement. At Mercedes we had them written, here we don’t. We will have to try to resolve this situation.” In short, the disappointment of missing the podium for the third consecutive race is great. And the nervousness that is creeping through the pits seems increasingly difficult to hide.
Even the words of Fred Vasseur reveal some concern: “We knew it would be a tough race, but it went worse than expected. We were losing positions and when we had the opportunity we couldn’t overtake.
