Just a handful of days ago, from the backstage of Bari, where FdI had celebrated the longest-lasting government in the history of the Italian Republic, the one led by Giorgia Meloni, some curious, irreverent images arrived, albeit born from a well-worn script.
A reporter from PiazzaPulita, ahead of the restart of the program hosted by Corrado Formigli on La7, pressed Meloni asking if she “will come to PiazzaPulita?”. As is well known, the premier has long chosen to boycott that studio, the red firing squad, a one-sided show if there ever was one. To Formigli’s reporter’s question, turning around, Meloni replied: “I love it”. Then the reporter repeats the question and at that point Meloni cuts short: “No”.

A video that quickly went viral on social media, first relaunched by the PiazzaPulita account. And now, what happened in Bari is taken up ironically by Atreju’s X profile, the annual event of Brothers of Italy. The post features a photomontage of Formigli, accompanied by the text: “#Piazzapulita. Literally. See you from Thursday the 17th, always on La7”. But the funniest part is the image: an alleged Formigli writing on a blackboard “I love it” and “no”, the two answers with which Meloni dismissed the show. Completing the picture, the comment from Atreju’s profile: “The answer is always the same: no”. With all due respect to Formigli and his singing company…
