The Prefecture of Bologna has decided to assign a police escort to the mayor following threats appearing on social media, as reported by Corriere della Sera and Repubblica. The protection, according to the newspapers, should be activated in the coming days. “The rule of law is in danger,” are Lepore’s words reported by Repubblica.

A message of solidarity towards Lepore came from Fakir’s family, through their lawyer Fabio Anselmo: “Fakir’s end cannot be wished upon anyone.” In Bologna’s multicultural and popular neighborhood, under the building on via Svevo where Abderrahim died, the usual coming and going of citizens, but no one wants to comment on yet another video of those dramatic moments experienced less than a week ago.
