By now in the majority it is a showdown and the deadline is set for this morning, at 11:30 AM: in the Chamber there will be a vote for the final approval of the electoral law reform and after the stops to the two amendments on preferences (the first signed by Brothers of Italy on Tuesday, the second “repair” presented yesterday by the Vannaccian Ziello) no other ambushes will be allowed.
The vote will be secret again, as Ilario Lombardo reminds us in La Stampa. “But if it ends the same way as the day before yesterday, this time the outcome would be different – reads the Turin newspaper -. The emissaries of Palazzo Chigi have made it clear that the government crisis will be certain. Also because the majority could not withstand the impact of a second vote of no confidence in less than 48 hours, especially on an electoral system reform”.
The issue is now well known: the snipers, men and women, according to the party of Giorgia Meloni nestle among the ranks of Lega and Forza Italia. Two parties that not coincidentally also voted no to the amendment of National Future, which was instead welcomed by FdI. “Certainly an amendment to the electoral law failing is not a reason for crisis.
