There is controversy after the provincial party of the Young Democrats of Pesaro-Urbino, “Amelia”, organized at the Circolo Arci of Villa Fastiggi. At the center of the dispute is a video, published on the event’s social channels, in which some members of the Democratic Party sing a folk song with strongly political content: “‘We will return to the masters and cut off their heads, oh there oh there, communism and freedom'”.
The case was raised by the Marche deputy of Brothers of Italy Antonio Baldelli, who criticizes not only the words spoken during the party but also the choice to publish the video accompanied by the caption “True comrades”. According to the FdI member, the content recalls a rhetoric of political violence and takes on particular weight because the party was also an occasion for a confrontation between Matteo Ricci and Giuseppe Conte on the possible alliance between the PD and the Five Star Movement.
Baldelli therefore asks the leaders of the two parties for a distancing, questioning the political climate in which the so-called broad front should be built. “The question, then, is inevitable: is this the climate in which the broad front intends to build its program? The fight against the ‘masters’ with blows of heads to be cut off?”.
The deputy also submitted a question to verify any use of public funds in organizing the event and asked: “Did the band perform also thanks to payments from the Region and therefore with public money?”.
