The attack on the Berlin Pride, which took place on Saturday evening by a 29-year-old who wanted to join ISIS, the Islamic terrorist organization, reaches the Lombardy Region. And it does so with a harsh attack on the left by the Lega group leader Alessandro Corbetta: «The Lombard left has lost its mind. Faced with an Islamist terrorist attack and an attacker supporting ISIS, Ilaria Salis and the Milan Democratic Party manage the feat of never uttering the word “Islam”».

What outrages Corbetta is the way the left handled the episode: «The PD of the Metropolitan City of Milan publishes a message of condemnation but hides the Islamist nature of the attack by speaking generically of “fundamentalism.” Salis does even worse: she talks about “religious fanaticism” and drags in the far right, in an unqualifiable attempt to confuse responsibilities and drag the right into a jihadist attack.» The Lega group leader in Lombardy continues: «When violence arises from Islamic fundamentalism, silences, omissions, and verbal contortions begin. It is a shameful ideological drift. It is therefore not surprising what happened a few days ago in the Regional Council: AVS voted against funds for Christians persecuted by Islamic terrorism and against our motion to protect women victims of Islamic fundamentalism, while the PD did not participate in either vote.»

Corbetta concludes: «Islamist terrorism threatens the safety and freedom of women, homosexuals, and all Europeans. Those who, to defend their multiculturalist and immigrationist dogma, refuse to call things by their name do not defend minorities: they protect the ideology that threatens them and become political accomplices of what is happening. This is the real shame of the Lombard left.»
