Words from which a rather clear signal emerges: on the left, trust in the leaders is at an all-time low. And it couldn’t be otherwise. In recent days Giuseppi and Elly, besides having bickered over the usual topic of aid to Ukraine, have found another point on which to clash. Conte, summarizing, said: whoever wins the primaries sets the line (also, and especially, on Ukraine). Schlein replied: first the contents of the program must be defined, all together, then the primaries will be held. Two diametrically opposed visions.
Serra, as mentioned, is on the side of the Democratic Party leader: the absolute priority must be the program. “Whoever then wins any primaries would be bound to that program: they could not govern only on behalf of their party,” the journalist argues. His conviction, however, clashes with the reality of the facts.
