Two blows from the government right on Ferragosto day. The first concerns tourism data which are positive despite the catastrophic narrative from the left: “These are record figures for the summer of 2026. Among other things, they also concern Italians a lot, because in the summer of 2026 there are three million more departures for Italians. I also want to remind you that in the years of our government the average of Italians who go on vacation has increased to 66.7%, which is a very high average,” explains the Minister of Tourism Gianmarco Mazzi. And again: “Think that in the eighteen previous years, going back to the early 2000s, the average is 58%. So in our years, in these years of government, we have an average that has risen by 9%. So many more Italians are going on vacation. I say this in relation to news I read.”

But it doesn’t end here: Frontex certifies that in the first seven months of 2026 irregular arrivals on the central Mediterranean route, the one that directly concerns Italy, have decreased by 55% compared to the same period in 2025. A double whammy hard to digest on progressive beaches…
