The INPS file of Meloni opened and closed three times by an employee: the case explodes | Libero Quotidiano.it

Three accesses on the same day to the personal file of Giorgia Meloni, without a work-related reason. This is what is being contested to an Inps employee, who now risks going to trial for consulting private information of the Prime Minister. According to Repubblica, the Rome Prosecutor’s Office has requested the indictment of the woman for unauthorized access to a computer system. The contested events date back to February 7, 2025, when the employee allegedly used the credentials at her disposal to enter the Institute’s databases three times and search for information about the premier.

The woman worked at the Inps General Medical Legal Coordination and, according to the accusation, would have used the authorizations connected to her position for purposes unrelated to the service. Two of the accesses would have concerned Arca, the Inps registry archive, through which it is possible to consult information such as tax code, date and place of birth, and residence. The third access would instead have concerned Giorgia Meloni’s contribution statement, with the worker’s social security history, from contribution periods to the type of payments up to the work activities that generated them. The case was triggered by Inps’s own internal controls. At the end of December, the Institute sent a first report, followed by checks on data protection. The matter then came to the attention of the Rome Prosecutor’s Office.

The employee was interrogated on April 17. On June 23, after the conclusion of the investigations, pm Alessandra D’Amore requested that she be prosecuted. However, a question remains: why was she searching for the premier’s data? Investigators reconstructed accesses, databases, and consultable information, but the reason for the searches did not emerge. The woman did not provide explanations to the investigators about the motive. The offended parties indicated in the proceeding are two: Giorgia Meloni and Inps itself, since its system was used to commit the violation of the premier’s sensitive data.
