First, the councillor invited to evaluate “a verification of the position of the Civ Presidents, in order to ascertain any behaviors harmful to the collaborative relationship with the Administration.” But, above all, to consider “the possibility of requesting the resignation of Presidents who have openly expressed their political stance through public attacks” or “in any case to proceed with their replacement.” All this, with an attached report of the “purges” to be sent “promptly” to the councillor. According to the letter signed by Beghin, the Genoese left could not tolerate “personal attacks and instrumental polemics” from some Civ presidents close to the center-right.

In short, here we go again: in the broad Salis-driven field, the relationship with dissent continues to be very difficult. “What is totally missing is dialogue and shared planning,” complain some representatives of traders. The widespread opinion is, in fact, that “the only way to be heard by the administration is to write on social media.” Those most in difficulty, a president told Libero, “are the suburbs since many events have been cut.
