The opposition says: with this government crime is out of control: in 2025 crimes decreased by two percent with a significant drop in thefts and robberies (the homicide rate remains stable at values below 0.6 percent per one hundred thousand inhabitants, far from past peaks). They say: this government does nothing about renewable energy: renewable sources are growing strongly, in 2025 they covered 41 percent of total electricity consumption (in 2022, the zero year of the Meloni government, it was 21) with peaks at fifty percent in the first months of 2026.

They say: the government has failed to curb immigration: in 2026 the trend of landings is sharply decreasing (sixteen thousand in the first seven months, with the Renzi government – for comparison – there were 180 thousand in one year) compared to previous years and a parallel increase in repatriations of irregular migrants (seven thousand in seven months, in 2021 there were four thousand in total). They say: the government makes Italians spend too much money to support the Ukrainian people’s fight against the Russian invader: journalist Riccardo Chiaberge did the math and published on Dagospia the result that says otherwise, about 50 euros per capita from 2022 (start of the invasion) to today, less than ten euros a year, less than one euro a month and anyway less than citizens of most European countries (Germans, in the same period, spent about 230 euros per capita).
They say: the right cannot elect their Head of State, but where is it written? The first two presidents, Enrico De Nicola and Luigi Einaudi, came precisely from the historical Italian right. All this to say that the opposition says the biggest lies possible.
