Giuseppe Conte is enjoying the holidays at Circeo. In the company of Olivia Paladino, the leader of the Five Star Movement was spotted by photographers from Gente on one of the most renowned coastlines of the Lazio region. “They are a very private couple,” writes the magazine that captures the couple – he 62 years old, she 46 – sunbathing. The former prime minister sports a blue swimsuit that reaches just above the knee. Paladino, on the other hand, wears a brown bikini top and bottom with a pareo of the same shade. Someone, the magazine also reports, recognized Conte and greeted him. He returned the gesture with a smile.

Olivia and Conte have been together for several years. Their respective children, born from previous relationships, who attended the same school, were the matchmakers. The former prime minister’s son, Niccolò, was in fact born in 2007 from the previous marriage with his ex-wife Valentina Fico.

Conte spoke about a dark period experienced by his son: “For 2 years, during Covid, he was in great difficulty. He even stayed in bed for almost 2 years. I used to take him to school in the morning with a wheelchair.” And again: “Having a son who couldn’t move, a son who was suffering, this was a terrible anguish.” In the evening “I read him something. I tried to protect him, tried to distract him when I was there.” Now “Niccolò has come out of these anguishing 2 years. This has made me the happiest dad in the world.”
