Fn, ideas about AI (and more) written by AI | Libero Quotidiano.it

Roberto Vannacci presented yesterday the first part of his party’s program. He said it is “the result of work gathered from the ground up, in consultation with members,” and that is surely true. However, the tools used by publishers, universities, law firms, and companies to identify texts written by artificial intelligence say that it is also the result of intense work by chatbots like ChatGpt, Claude, Gemini, and Grok.
Not all sections of the general’s program, according to these “detectors,” were outsourced to digital algorithms. Some, for example the one on foreign policy, in which Futuro nazionale proposes to adopt “a relaxed attitude with the Russian Federation,” are entirely the product of human work. Others, especially among those on economic policy, a topic apparently difficult for the Vannacci think tank, receive an embarrassing verdict: they were entirely or largely written by AI.

PRUDENTIAL CRITERION
Libero submitted the sections of Fn’s program to two detection tools: Pangram 4.0, considered the most reliable by independent researchers from the University of Maryland and the University of Chicago, and ZeroGpt. Both declare a very low margin of error (Pangram boasts an accuracy of 99.98%), but they are based on different algorithms and can give different results: Pangram, more professional, is stricter and probably more precise; ZeroGpt is more cautious. For this reason, we adopted a prudential criterion: all cases where the program sections tested positive only for Pangram, or where the two tools judged portions of text written by the chatbot to be less than or close to 50% (and there are many), were discarded.

What follows, in short, are some of the cases where the use of AI is most blatant. Starting with the part of the program dedicated to “Innovation, technological sovereignty, and human capital,” in which the general’s party states it wants to promote “investments in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum technologies.” According to Pangram, 100% of this section was composed by an algorithm, ZeroGpt saves a few words and judges it artificial at 97.1%. In the long section dedicated to “Work, productivity, and growth,” Pangram and ZeroGpt give the same verdict: it was written 84.4% by a non-human brain. The detailed report generated by Pangram classifies as “Fully AI generated,” entirely generated by AI, with a “High” confidence level, even the part where it is written that “Technological innovation and artificial intelligence represent a significant opportunity for productivity growth, but require governance oriented towards the protection of the person and work.”

Not much different discourse for the section on “Enterprises, professions, and competitiveness of the productive system,” also dense with clichés and concepts with little substance typical of chatbots (“Futuro nazionale intends to promote greater integration between training and professional activity, generational turnover, and the evolution of professional societies…”): Pangram warns it was written 95.6% by AI, while ZeroGpt stops at 54.2%. In any case, a lot. Credit and banks are an identity topic for the right that Vannacci wants to represent. Here too, however, the “hand” of the algorithms of Sam Altman and colleagues is felt: the section “Credit instruments, financial innovation, and debtor protection” is labeled as “100% AI generated” by Pangram, while the more lenient ZeroGpt considers it “only” 80.3%. Silicon neurons also appear to have written much of Fn’s position on “Access to credit, credit rehabilitation, and protection of financial reliability”: Pangram labels it as 100% AI product, its colleague ZeroGpt at 53.2%. Not even the battle “Against the green ideology” seems to be the work of the Vannacci team, at least in the way they argued it in the program: according to Pangram this work was entirely done by artificial intelligence, according to ZeroGpt for two-thirds (65.4%). Awaiting digital sovereignty, on Vannacci’s side they make a virtue of necessity and make do with what the convent of American multinationals passes along.
