“I am feeling much better and finally I am home! Thanks to the doctors and staff of the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome and thanks to all of you for the affection I felt every day. The activist, former M5s deputy, spent five nights at the Policlinico Gemelli, where he arrived last Saturday, after the illness he suffered on August 28, while he was making a report in Cuba.

The former parliamentarian of the Five Star Movement, 48 years old, was on the island for a report intended for the Fatto Quotidiano, a newspaper he collaborates with. On Friday, August 28, he went to the hospital for a severe headache, then was urgently admitted first to the hospital in Santa Clara, the closest to where he was, and then to the better-equipped facility in Havana, Hermanos Ameijeiras.
