And the regular guest, writer and mountaineer Mauro Corona, who uses a strong description for the general: “Roberto Vannacci will be the new duce of Italy, because he is acclaimed by everyone. As an acclamation, as a reference figure to change things”.
Corona also talks about the new rise in Germany of the far-right party, AfD, whose program scares Europe. Again, Corona uses strong comparisons: “In that program there are the same things that can be found in Mein Kampf. It was given to me by the widow of a hierarch, and I in turn gave it to someone more interested. I am worried about this return to the far right throughout Europe. The disastrous right-wing governments have left a mark that is now blooming again. I am worried, because in the next elections there will be a right wing that will advance incredibly and when I said that Vannacci would get 12% I caused some smiles, there were some smirks. I said it first and Vannacci is already at 10%. I test, I go around cities, towns and test. Vannacci enjoys an incredible sympathy, because Nazism, fascism no, it is no longer there, they don’t go around giving beatings and castor oil, but it has remained in the memory of those disastrous governments that left a mark that is now blooming again.”
Yet, Mario Giordano believes that in the next elections a dialogue between the majority and Vannacci’s party is necessary: “The center-right is born from the union of forces much more distant than Vannacci and Giorgia Meloni. I believe Meloni has the commitment to find a way to create an alliance“.
