The diplomat also considers 2026 a particularly important year for bilateral relations and does not rule out a visit by Donald Trump to Genoa on the occasion of Columbus Day, declaring himself ready to facilitate it. Ample space is also given to Liguria, defined as strategic for the Italian economy thanks to the port of Genoa, considered by the ambassador among the most important in the world. Fertitta finally praised Fincantieri, highlighting its excellence in shipbuilding and its importance for industrial and military cooperation between Italy and the United States.
