The two women came face to face during a vacation, leading to a violent fight that escalated into physical aggression. The one who suffered the most was the coach himself, who ended up in the hospital not because of the blows, but due to the emotional consequences and stress accumulated while trying to calm the chaos.

Hassan is not just any coach: with over 160 appearances and almost 70 goals for Egypt, he is the top scorer in the history of the Pharaohs and an almost revered figure in his homeland for his competitive spirit and never trivial positions. The selector was enjoying a period of rest in his homeland at a resort in Porta Marina, on the northern coast of Egypt. Hassan was accompanied by his current wife Dana Adam, married in 2015, when the two encountered Howaida Al-Gharabawi, the first wife with whom the former footballer married in 1994 and with whom he had three children, also present at the location. The tension accumulated over the years after a divorce never fully processed suddenly exploded in front of the other guests of the facility.
As soon as they crossed paths, the two women started a fight with punches, kicks, hair pulling, and a dense throwing of objects and chairs within reach. Hassan, in a desperate attempt to act as a peacemaker and separate the contenders, collapsed to the ground from agitation, temporarily losing consciousness. The episode required the immediate intervention of security staff and the Egyptian police to restore calm. The coach was transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital: medical checks ruled out serious physical complications, confirming a state of severe emotional shock. Meanwhile, the episode was captured and ended up on social media, showing the confusion of those moments.

While on one side Howaida initially filed a complaint only to withdraw it later, with both women sustaining mutual bruises, on the other hand, the episode crossed national borders turning into a viral case. Since a public figure was involved, the matter ended there. It is somewhat striking to see a coach always recognized for his fierce grit and tactical exuberance on the field go into total emotional difficulty in front of family dynamics. A fragility that sharply contrasts with the image of the relentless leader to which the Egyptian public was accustomed.
