John Goodman, famous actor from The Big Lebowski and The Flintstones, has returned to the spotlight for his radical physical transformation. DeLuise accompanied the image with a heartfelt message: “He was my childhood!! A legend! I love being able to tell someone. If you know him, you know.” The photo immediately caught the attention of fans, many of whom struggled to recognize Goodman. The actor is 1.88 meters tall and in the past weighed about 180 kilos. In recent years, however, he has undertaken an important journey of change, losing about 90 kilos.

The transformation began around his 50s, when Goodman decided to radically change his habits. Among the choices adopted are greater attention to diet, resorting to the Mediterranean diet, and regular physical activity. The actor also drastically reduced alcohol and sugar consumption. Speaking about alcohol, Goodman admitted that consumption “was becoming too much.” In an interview with ABC News in March 2016, the actor also reflected on the relationship between diet and addiction, highlighting a possible analogy between the tendency to overeat and alcoholism. “I think people try to fill a void that can only be filled with positive things,” Goodman explained, thus also emphasizing the personal dimension of the journey that led him to change his lifestyle.
