As per the tradition of the All England Club, the tournament champion greeted Prince William, Princess Kate, and their children before presenting the trophy to the public and starting the celebrations. The icebreaker was the world number one himself, curious about the little royals’ passion for the racket.
Prince George, at that point, answered without hesitation: “Yes sir”. From there, the little exchange continued with another question from Sinner: “Every day?”. “No, not every day: on weekends,” replied the young prince. “You have to have fun,” advised the Italian player, before discussing with William the playing conditions during the final, between heat, wind, and the sun setting over Centre Court.

At the press conference, Sinner recounted that moment with a smile, admitting that talking with the royal family is never easy: “It wasn’t easier than last year, I have so much respect that I never know where the limit is — he explained, emphasizing the Royal Family’s passion for tennis — You can really see that they love this sport.
