Fatto quotidiano dedicates the most prominent headline on the front page to Giorgia Meloni, “Meloni: 4 years with nothing to celebrate,” complete with the obligatory big photo.
Il Domani exaggerates even in tone, though without much imagination. The concept is the same as Travaglio’s group, “Meloni self-celebrates her government,” but it adds a touch of bitterness (“But she celebrates four years of disasters”) and defeatism (“The stability of the executive translates into immobility,” is Piero Ignazi’s editorial).
All quite predictable, these are the same accusations that opposition members have been repeating like a mantra for days, increasingly weakly.
However, some have outdone themselves. They simply chose not to give the news of the record tenure of the leader of Fratelli d’Italia at Palazzo Chigi (1,413 days, never before seen in the history of the Italian Republic) front-page coverage. For those not used to leafing through newspapers, this decision is equivalent to making the news disappear.

Meloni sets a record and Domani is bitter: three pages of pure mudslinging
“Meloni self-celebrates her government but celebrates four years of disasters.” Who said it? Giuseppe Conte? El…
Corriere della Sera gives ample space to the alarm about the risk of Russian interference in the 2027 vote, to crime news, to Vannacci, to the fuel price hike, also to Ranucci and the death of the historic feminist Gloria Steinem. Meloni makes a brief appearance: it’s the background by Verderami but the focus is on the hypothesis of an election day for parliamentary and local elections next May. The record does not exist, not even in the subheadline.
On La Stampa there is a nice interview with Jane Fonda, a report from Kiev, the lead on “End of life” and the “Meloni wall.” At least in the subheadline or the kicker, will there be a mention of the record? Nothing, and there was space for it.
We come to Repubblica, usually the most aggressive newspaper against Meloni. A big portrait of the late Fabio Mussi (appropriate), the military investigation on Vannacci dominating the front page, even the weather alert on El Nino and the planet at risk. Giorgia? Not even a little comment to attack her, to denigrate her, to ruin her celebration. Perhaps, due to excessive bitterness, the editorial staff chose not to inflict more damage. On themselves.
