If you want an example of a pretty disgusting red extremist, you can find it on Instagram. He is easily identifiable, his name is Alessandro Giannetti (all one word) and in a tank top and shorts he performs with a clenched fist in front of the Basovizza foiba.

He dedicates the image to General Vannacci, with a truly horrible caption: “Learning from the Slavic partisans how to dialogue with the Vannaccis of the moment. There is still room for the fascists of the third millennium.”
Well, someone like that would be more suited to internment than arrest. Not realizing the national tragedy that passed through that foiba and the many discoveries made over the years means being out of one’s mind. Vannacci spoke about it on the same platform with eloquent tones: because the “August partisan” trampled on “the honor of thousands of Italians killed by communist hatred.”
We do not know if the leader of Futuro Nazionale has ever visited the monument at Basovizza, but certainly the list of crimes committed by the individual in question is remarkable: threat (art. 612 of the Penal Code), apology of crime (414 c.p.), incitement to violence for national reasons (604-bis), offensive demonstrations towards the deceased (724 c.p.). “Not bad,” is Vannacci’s comment, “for those who give us little lessons in criminal law every day to please Gramsci and progress.”
Trieste, photo desecration on the foibe: “This is how you dialogue with Vannacci”
Clenched fist in front of the Basovizza plaque, Trieste, which recalls the tragedy of the foibe. This is – according to …
The “I don’t care” is the obvious reply to the provocation. Because that is what it is in front of the symbol of a terrible sacrifice. There Tito’s partisans committed horrible massacres. Thousands of Italians were thrown into the foibe (often alive, after torture): soldiers, policemen, civilians, anti-fascists, fascists, anyone considered inconvenient or simply Italian. It has been a national monument since 1992, dedicated to the memory of those victims and the Julian-Dalmatian exodus. It is truly a vulgar and cynical provocation on a place of memory, not a historical debate. Historically, the foibe are a documented fact, long removed or minimized in Italy for political reasons, and a law of the State has also been dedicated to that tragedy. Showing off in front of that monument with a clenched fist and that text is simply an act of contempt towards the victims. There is nothing “resistant” or “anti-fascist” in this: it is just bad taste and propaganda. The provocateur is an activist who calls himself an artist around La Spezia and Versilia, according to police sources.
He would have been part of collectives like Dada Boom and SuperAzione / R(?)o Dada. And he is obviously known mainly for provocative performances with anti-militarist and political themes. The most well-known fact concerning him dates back to 2022, during an exhibition at CAMeC in La Spezia dedicated to the artist Giacomo Verde.
On that occasion, he carried out an action in which he cut himself and wrote on the museum wall, with his own blood, the phrase “Demilitarize the world” (after the group had already defaced a wall with “Demilitarize La Spezia”). For that performance, he received a penal decree of conviction to 3 months imprisonment, later converted into a fine of about 3,375 euros. A well-mannered little person, then.
