Thus, the news terrifies the politics that chases it, also due to the laziness of TV, the only remaining intermediary body but engaged in creating fake martyrs. This overshadows dreams and plans for economic growth that are urgently needed and require shock reforms.

DECALOGUE
Security and economy will be the two drivers of the electoral campaign and are connected. Those who come here to work and accept our laws, learn the language, that women dress as they want, and the rest of the Western decalogue, are welcome. They and their aspiration to improve their lives, contributing to welfare, and not sucking it. Those who do not accept and therefore do not want to integrate, should go elsewhere. We have nothing to apologize for. The left should remember this. On security, instead of babbling nonsense like remigration, anyone intending to commit crimes even if only out of necessity should know that it has a certain, severe, and immediate cost: no more complaints with people released on bail who were arrested by deserving officers a few hours earlier; mandatory preventive detention, Florida model (where there is plenty of immigration, but crimes decrease). And let’s restore the freedom to slap to the police forces. Sometimes, a confrontation on the territory through a slap is better than an arrest and a very slow trial that does not protect society. But let it be clear: even on immigration, salvation is offered by globalization and development. If certain countries grow, immigrants will no longer come here. Think of Albania. That said, if I were Giorgia Meloni, I would draw attention to the economy. Yesterday a group of brilliant builders, lawyers, and hoteliers in their 30s, in Pineto (not Manhattan), explained to me their great desire to do more, and the many fiscal and bureaucratic obstacles they suffer from.

FOLLIES
This is the frontier on which to drag the clash this autumn. It would highlight the follies of the broad field and distance us from marginal controversies where everything goes and everyone is worth one, to the detriment of the best and the Italians. They witness the waste of letting what is recovered from tax evasion end up in higher public spending instead of tax cuts (shall we insert a destination constraint?), and they know how much pro-market and business reforms are needed, and against the high cost of living, in energy, labor cost and law for higher wages, lighter taxes, and bureaucracy to be cut down.
Flagship but concrete measures are welcome: abolish the car tax. Can a car ever be considered a luxury good and therefore taxed? No. Otherwise, idea: let’s tax the nonsense of Ranucci and company.
Imagine the revenue.
