Luciano Spalletti does not reject Michele Di Gregorio after Juventus’ defeat against Inter. The Bianconeri goalkeeper inevitably came under scrutiny for some uncertainties shown in the match, but the coach chose to defend him on the eve of the friendly against Pippo Inzaghi’s Palermo, scheduled in Perth. “Di Gregorio’s performance against Inter? He made, in my opinion, saves worthy of compliments in the first half. Then he was unlucky on the second goal,” he explained to Sky Sport, thus downplaying the criticism that fell on the goalkeeper after the game.

Against the Rosanero, however, it will be Mattia Perin’s turn. A choice that the coach clarified is not related to the teammate’s performance: “Tomorrow (today, ed) he plays because it is something we had already prepared before.” Spalletti then explained in detail the management of the two goalkeepers during the tour: “More than two matches: one half for each, a second half for each.” The challenge with Palermo will also represent an interesting test against a team built to play an important role in Serie B.
